Can you get your eye persription filled into different glasses?

It's not possible to directly "fill" an eye prescription into different glasses. Here's why:

* Prescriptions are instructions, not objects: Your eye prescription is a set of numbers indicating the lens power, cylinder, axis, and prism you need for each eye. It doesn't contain any information about the specific frame you're using.

* Frames influence lens design: The shape and size of your eyeglass frame determine how the lenses are cut and shaped to fit properly.

* Lenses need to be customized: An optician or optometrist will need to take measurements of your chosen frame to create custom lenses that match your prescription and fit the frame perfectly.

Here's the correct process:

1. Get your eye exam: Visit an eye doctor to get an updated eye prescription.

2. Choose your glasses frame: Select the frame style and size you prefer.

3. Have lenses ordered: The optician will take measurements of your frame and use your prescription to order lenses that are specifically designed to fit that frame.

4. Pick up your glasses: Once the lenses are ready, your glasses will be assembled and you can try them on.

In short: While you can take your prescription to any optical store, you need to select a frame and have the lenses ordered for that specific frame.
