James Dean lived at 19 East 53rd Street in New York City. He moved into the apartment in late 1952 and lived there until his death in 1955. The apartment was located in a six-story brownstone building on the Upper East Side of Manhattan. It was a one-bedroom apartment with a living room, kitchen, and bathroom. Dean's apartment was close to the Actors Studio, where he studied acting, and to many Broadway theaters.
