This day was inevitable,
I could feel it in the air.
It hung there suspended,
Like a heavy cloud about to burst.
I tried to ignore it,
To go about my day as if nothing was wrong.
But I couldn't shake the feeling,
That something was coming, something terrible.
And then it happened.
The day that was inevitable,
Came crashing down upon us.
The world as we knew it,
Changed in an instant.
Amidst chaos,
In the face of destruction,
We struggled to comprehend.
How could this happen? Why now?
But the answers were elusive,
Lost in the haze of the moment.
All that was left,
Was to face the reality before us.
And so,
In the aftermath of the cataclysm,
We picked up the pieces.
We mourned our losses,
And we wondered what would happen next.
But even as we struggled,
Even as we ached,
There was a glimmer of hope.
A spark that refused to be extinguished.
And so,
We pressed on,
Determined to rebuild.
To create a better world,
From the ashes of the old.
And though the journey would be long and arduous,
We were filled with a sense of purpose.
A belief that we could overcome,
No matter the odds.
For the human spirit is resilient,
And the will to survive is strong.
And even in the darkest of times,
We will always find a way to prevail.
