* Modify the field: Change the field's layout, add zones, or create special areas.
* Provide ongoing effects: Give bonuses to specific monsters, players, or both.
* Activate specific effects: Triggered by certain conditions, such as a monster being summoned.
* Limit or restrict gameplay: For example, by banning certain types of monsters or effects.
How Field Spell Cards Work:
* Activation: Field Spell cards are activated like other Spell cards, by placing them face-down in your Spell & Trap Zone.
* Placement: They remain face-down until their activation effect is triggered. Once activated, they're placed face-up in the Field Spell Zone, which is a separate area on the field.
* Persistence: Once activated, Field Spell cards remain on the field until they're destroyed or negated.
* Only one at a time: You can only have one Field Spell card active at a time.
Examples of Field Spell Cards:
* "The Sanctuary in the Sky": Provides a special "Sky Zone" on the field, giving bonuses to Winged-Beast monsters.
* "Terraforming": Allows you to search your deck for a Field Spell card and add it to your hand.
* "Raigeki Break": Destroys all monsters on the field with 1500 ATK or less.
* "Skill Drain": Prevents all monsters on the field from activating their effects.
Field Spell cards can be powerful tools to control the field and create strategic advantages in your Yu-Gi-Oh! deck.
