Why did Lady Gaga write poker face?

The song "Poker Face" was written by Lady Gaga and RedOne for her debut studio album, The Fame (2008). In an interview with Rolling Stone magazine, Gaga stated that she wrote the song in 2007 while she was struggling to find success in the music industry. She explained, "I was broke. I was living on the Lower East Side of New York, and I was writing music every day. I had this idea for a song called 'Poker Face,' and I knew it was going to be a hit. I just had this feeling about it."

Gaga also revealed that the song was inspired by her own experiences in the world of poker. She said, "I used to play poker a lot when I was younger. I was always trying to read people's faces and figure out what they were thinking. That's where the line 'Can't read my poker face' came from."

The song "Poker Face" was released as the second single from The Fame on October 29, 2008. It became a global hit, reaching number one in over 20 countries, including the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada. The song also won the Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording at the 52nd Grammy Awards.
