How do you the wedgie bounce?

The wedgie bounce technique is used in long jumping to maximize the length of the jump. When you use this approach, you push off from the ground with one leg and bring the other leg up toward your chest. At this point you'll be in a somewhat fetal position. To actually 'bounce,' continue that forward momentum and as you push back toward the pit, keep your legs tucked in.

At the peak of the arc you'll throw both legs over your head and extend your body so that your head and arms hit the ground at the same time as your feet. When you land, your body should be stretched out so that it looks somewhat like an arrow pointing at the sky. That's the classic wedgie bounce!
