What kind of deserts are in Japan?

Japan does not have any true deserts, as the climate is too humid to support desert formation. However, there are several areas in Japan that experience semi-arid conditions, such as the San'in region on the Sea of Japan coast and the Seto Inland Sea coast. These areas receive less rainfall than other parts of Japan, and can experience extended periods of drought during the summer months.
