What deserts do you find in South Africa?

The major desert in South Africa is the Namaqualand Desert. It covers an area of about 35,000 square kilometers and forms the northern part of the West Coast. The desert is characterized by a stark, arid landscape with few trees or shrubs, and is home to a unique variety of desert-adapted plants and animals. Other smaller deserts in South Africa include the Richtersveld Desert, which lies to the north of Namaqualand, and the Karoo Desert, which is a semi-arid region in the interior of the country.
