What does the kalimba sound like?

The kalimba, also known as the African mbira or thumb piano, is a musical instrument that produces a soft, gentle, and clear chiming sound. It consists of a flat wooden soundboard with a series of metal keys or tines attached to it. When the keys or tines are plucked with thumbs, they vibrate and produce a pleasant melodic tone. The sound of a kalimba is often described as soothing, relaxing, and enchanting, capturing the essence of African culture and folklore.
