How do you dance the Polish polka?

The Polish polka can be danced in either a closed position, where couples face each other and hold hands, or an open position, where they face the same direction and hold each other's arms. The steps for the closed position are as follows:

1. Starting Position: Stand facing your partner, holding hands at chest level.

2. Step 1: Step forward with your right foot, at the same time bringing your left foot up to meet it, with your legs crossed over. Hold this position for a moment.

3. Step 2: Quickly step back to your original starting position.

4. Step 3: Repeat steps 1 and 2, but this time lead with your left foot.

5. Step 4: Take three quick steps forward, stepping from right to left to right.

6. Repeat: Continue to repeat steps 1 through 4.

To add flair, you can add skips and turns to your dance. You can also change up the rhythm, adding pauses and accelerations to create a more dynamic dance.
