Trying to make mothballs dance in a bicarb-vinegar mixture but why they sink?

Moths cannot dance in baking soda and vinegar. The reason is that mothballs are denser than the mixture of baking soda and vinegar, so they sink to the bottom. The density of water is 1 g/mL, the density of baking soda is 2.16 g/mL and the density of vinegar is 1.05 g/mL. To make mothballs rise, create a solution of 1 part baking soda and 2 parts warm water. Once the baking soda is dissolved, place mothballs into the solution and watch them dance. The reaction that makes the moth balls dance in the baking soda solution is caused by a sodium bicarbonate/citric acid reaction.
