What is voice style dance?

Voice style dance (VSD) is a genre of urban freestyle street dance originating from South Africa between the early to mid-2000s. Some argue VSD may have originated as early as the late 1990s in Cape Town. However, VSD came to prominence between 2007–2012 with two groups widely being regarded as the pioneers of the craft – "The Style Masters Crew" from Gugulethu, Cape Town and 'The V.O.C Boyz' from Khayelitsha, Cape Town.
