What are facts about courtly Dance composed by Giovanni Gastoldi?
Giovanni Gastoldi (c. 1554 – late February 1622) was an Italian composer, singer, lutenist, and music master for the Gonzagas. He published many madrigals, songs, motets, symphonies, fantasias for viols, ricercares as well as dances of the time; in addition he set a text by Jacopo Lubrano which was composed for the marriage of Vincenzo I Gonzaga and Eleonora dei Medici in 1584. There is, though, no specific courtly dance.
