What happend to Amy band?

The British alternative rock band Evanescence was founded by singer and pianist Amy Lee and guitarist Ben Moody in Little Rock, Arkansas, in 1995. Evanescence rose to international fame with the release of their debut studio album, Fallen (2003), which sold more than 17 million copies worldwide and was certified seven-times platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). The album spawned four hit singles: "Bring Me to Life", "Going Under", "My Immortal", and "Everybody's Fool".

In 2006, Moody left the band and was replaced by Terry Balsamo. Evanescence released their second studio album, The Open Door (2006), which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart and was certified two-times platinum by the RIAA. The album spawned three hit singles: "Call Me When You're Sober", "Lithium", and "Sweet Sacrifice".

In 2009, drummer Will Boyd and bassist Tim McCord left the band. Evanescence went on hiatus and Lee recorded a solo album, Aftermath (2014).

In 2015, Evanescence reunited with Lee, Balsamo, and drummer Troy McLawhorn. The band released their third studio album, Evanescence (2011), which debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 chart and was certified gold by the RIAA. The album spawned two hit singles: "What You Want" and "My Heart Is Broken".

In 2012, Evanescence released their fourth studio album, Synthesis (2017), which featured orchestral arrangements of their classic songs. The album debuted at number eight on the Billboard 200 chart.

In 2017, Balsamo left the band and was replaced by Jen Majura. Evanescence released their fifth studio album, The Bitter Truth (2021), which debuted at number four on the Billboard 200 chart.

Evanescence is currently on tour in support of The Bitter Truth.
