What is strength in dance?

Strength:

- Dancers may need strength in their legs to jump, in their cores to balance and in their upper bodies to hold their partners. Flexibility and balance are also essential for dance, but without sufficient strength, a dancer cannot perform with precision or expressiveness.

- Building flexibility and strength are fundamental to good dancing technique and practice, no matter what style of dance is being performed.

- Strength training exercises to improve core stability, leg and foot strength are the most efficient way to improve one's dancing capabilities and performance.

- Strength training has multiple benefits for dancers. It can improve their performance by increasing power and endurance, reducing the risk of injury, and helping them control their movements more effectively.

- Strength training can also improve a dancer’s flexibility and balance. When muscles are strong, they are better able to support and move the body, which can lead to increased flexibility and balance.
