- Step forward with one foot while performing the tap.
- As the tapping foot strikes toward the ground, the other foot is lifted off the ground.
2. Double Tap
- Step forward with one foot while performing a single tap with that same foot.
- Quickly following that tap, strike with your other foot.
- Do the above in one continuous, swift motion.
- While completing this movement, the lifted foot should not reach any higher than one to three inches off the ground.
3. Hop
- Step forward and tap with one foot as a normal single tap.
- As the tapping foot strikes the ground, use that foot to push off the ground and simultaneously lift the other foot.
4. Skip
- Start this move with one foot as if you are going to perform the hop; however, rather than tapping with that foot, quickly lift it up and swing it forward.
5. Sway
- Stand in one place and swing one leg back and forth across your body.
- The swinging motion should be wide enough to stretch the leg slightly.
