1. Start with your feet shoulder-width apart and your knees slightly bent.
2. Keep your core engaged and your upper body relaxed.
3. On the first beat of the music, step forward with your right heel.
4. On the next beat, push off your right heel and transfer your weight to your right toe.
5. As you do this, bring your left foot forward and step on the heel.
6. On the next beat, push off your left heel and transfer your weight to your left toe.
7. Repeat this pattern, alternating between stepping forward with the heel and then with the toe of the same foot.
8. As you become more comfortable with the basic pattern, you can start to add variations such as turning, crossing your feet, and tapping your heels.
9. You can also practice different rhythms and tempos to add variety to your dance moves.
Remember to move smoothly and fluidly, and stay in tune with the music. The heel-toe dance is all about feeling the rhythm and letting your body express itself through movement.
