Step 1: Stand facing your partner, with your feet shoulder-width apart and your arms at your sides.
Step 2: Step forward with your right foot and bring your left foot to meet it, bringing them together in a closed position.
Step 3: Step back with your left foot and bring your right foot to meet it, bringing them together in a closed position.
Step 4: Repeat steps 2 and 3, moving forward and back.
Step 5: When you step forward with your right foot, take your partner's right hand in your left hand.
Step 6: When you step back with your left foot, release your partner's right hand and place your right hand on their waist.
Step 7: Continue to step forward and back, alternating between holding your partner's right hand and placing your right hand on their waist.
Step 8: As you move, you can add your own variations, such as turning or leaning to one side.
Step 9: The dance ends when you come to a stop with your feet shoulder-width apart and your arms at your sides.
