What type of dance did ted Shawn to?

Ted Shawn was a pioneer of American modern dance. He co-founded the Denishawn School with Ruth St. Denis, which was one of the most influential dance schools in the early 20th century. Shawn's choreography often drew inspiration from Native American and other non-Western cultures, and he was known for his athleticism and powerful stage presence. He also founded the Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival in 1930, which is now the oldest continually running dance festival in the United States.
