Flags & Scarves Used in Dance

In dance, flags and scarves have been used in many ways. Some dances that have utilized flags and scarves include praise dance, color guard and belly dancing to name a few.
  1. Praise Dance

    • Many praise dancers, worshipers and Christian dancers uses flags in their dances.

    Color Guard

    • In the color guard they use flags in their dancing.

      If you have ever attended a high school football team, you may have noticed the band and color guard. The color guard uses flags as they move and dance to the sound created by the band.

    Scarves

    • A scarf can be used by a dancer as an accessory.

      Scarves are used in different dance forms as accessories. For example, scarves have been used by dancers as headbands and belts.

    Belly Dancing


    • A belly dancer may use hip scarves as part of their dance clothing.

      Belly dancers are an example of dancers that use scarves. Often, belly dancers will use "hip scarves" in their dance routines.
