Planet Gemini is much more than a dance club. An on-site restaurant and comedy club make Planet Gemini a one-stop place for entertainment. Planet Ultra Lounge and Restaurant, the name of the dance club and restaurant, dedicates certain days to particular genres of music. For example, Thursday nights are country music nights with dance lessons and Wednesday nights are Banda nights. National bands from Mexico and local bands play Latin music all night long. Other nights of the week have live bands or DJs as the entertainment. The restaurant at Planet Gemini serves Mexican, seafood, and Italian. Italian nights at the club offer an an all-you-can-eat spaghetti and meatballs in addition to other Italian dishes. Live Italian music is also played during the night. Planet Gemini offers a live comedy club show on Friday and Saturday nights. Well-known national acts that have appeared on Comedy Central, and HBO.

Monterey Live, located in the historic Casa Sanchez Adobe, is a performing arts center that features live bands, dance troupes, and comedy shows. This 100-seat venue is also a nightclub. A variety of music is played on stage, including jazz, rock and roll, blues, swing, and R&B. You can enjoy all the performers while dancing or partaking in one of the drinks and dishes from the Live Wired Cafe. The restaurant has a full bar and also specializes in serving "comfort food" such as buffalo wings, fried calamari, tacos, and hamburgers. Monterey Live can also be reserved for private parties up to 115 people. The venue can also accommodate wedding rehearsal dinners, private parties, and corporate and fundraising events.

The Hippodrome is a large nightclub and lounge with 12,000 square feet of space. It boasts four dance floors, dancers, projectors, 13 bars, dozens of televisions, and a view of the Monterey Bay. The main dance floor plays all the latest and music while the Skyy dance floor plays popular songs from the '80s. The main room plays songs from the Top 40 and the Skyy dance floor plays house/electronica music.
