Ice Skating Shows in Seattle, Washington

Located in the pacific northwest, Seattle, Washington, is a bustling metropolis that is home to many indoor and outdoor activities and attractions. Visitors to Seattle have their choice of seeing professional sports teams like the Seattle Mariners baseball team, the Seattle Seahawks football team, and the Seattle Storm women’s basketball team. Visitors can also take in professional and amateur figure-skating and ice-dancing shows performed on tour and by local clubs.
  1. Stars On Ice

    • Each year, Stars On Ice makes its way to Seattle. In 2010, the show, which features Olympic figure skaters like Evan Lysacek, Sasha Cohen, Merle Davis and Charlie White, was held in Seattle near the end of May. The year 2011 marks the 25th anniversary of the show. While the schedule is not yet released, fans who have attended the show in the past expect it to be held again at Seattle’s Key Arena. The arena, which is located at Seattle Center, hosts sporting events of all types and is home to the Seattle Storm basketball team.

    Lynnwood Ice Center

    • Located 16 miles north of downtown Seattle,, Lynnwood Ice Center is home to the Seattle Ice Skating Club and the Seattle Junior Hockey Association. The club hosts figure-skating and ice-dancing competitions throughout the year. The public can watch at either Lynnwood or another nearby ice rink where the competitions are being held. Although
      these shows don't feature professional skaters, the level of competition is high and entertaining.

    Highland Ice Arena

    • Located about 11 miles north of downtown Seattle, the Highland Ice Arena offers public ice skating, figure-skating lessons and opportunities for ice hockey. The arena has a pro shop on site and offers rentals. Public skating is available daily. At different times during the year, various skating clubs host skating shows at Highland Ice Arena, which are open to the public to attend. Past performances have been held by the Everett Figure Skating Club, which used Highland Ice Arena to host their "Blades on Ice" show.
