What can you do if recognize a mismatch between how learn best and are being taught?

1. Communicate with your instructor.

Be honest about how you learn best and ask if they can accommodate your learning style. For example, if you prefer hands-on learning, ask if you can participate in more group projects or simulations. If you are a visual learner, ask if you can see more diagrams and charts.

2. Supplement your learning with external materials.

There are many resources available online, in the library, and from other students that can help you supplement your learning. Find materials and activities that align with your learning style and use them to reinforce what you're learning in class.

3. Change your study habits.

This could mean studying in smaller chunks, taking more frequent breaks, or finding a different study environment that works better for you.

4. Don't be afraid to ask for help.

If you're struggling with a concept, don't hesitate to ask for help from your instructor or a tutor. Many schools and colleges offer free tutoring services to their students.

5. Seek out alternative educational opportunities.

If you find that you're not learning effectively in your current classroom setting, you may want to consider alternative educational options, such as online learning or self-directed study.
