What are the basic steps of ragragsakan dance?

Ragrakan is a traditional Sundanese dance originating from West Java, Indonesia. This dance incorporates elements of martial arts, acrobatics, and rhythmic movement. The following are the basic steps of ragragsakan:

1. Starting position: Stand with the feet shoulder-width apart and arms relaxed by the sides.

2. Opening movement (Bukaan): Raise your arms overhead while turning the palms face-to-face, then return to the starting position.

3. Body movement: Move your body to the left, then to the right, all while maintaining a low stance with the knees bent.

4. Step and hop (Langkahan dan loncatan): Step forward with the left foot, followed by a hop on the left foot while throwing the right foot to the side. Repeat on the right side with the left foot placed to the side.

5. Acrobatic movement (Bukaan/Gerakan akrobatik): Perform various tumbling movements, such as rolls and flips.

6. Floor movement: Lie down on the floor on your back, then push yourself back into a standing position while raising your arms above your head.

7. Closing movement: Repeat the opening movement (Bukaan) and then return to the starting position.

8. End.

Ragragakan dance is a vigorous dance that requires good physical strength, flexibility, and agility. It is often performed by male dancers at various occasions, including festivals and cultural events.
