How do you get break ins in budokai 3?

In order for a break-in to happen, both players need to have "Ki Energy" on their health bars as well as have two or more power bars. To get a break-in, perform a strong attack. If you do it correctly, you will break through your opponent's power and hit them with your strong attack.
