A DIY Ballet Headpiece
The headpiece is an integral part of many ballet costumes. Headpieces frequently feature sparkles, feathers or other shiny gems and jewels. Remember when making your headpiece that you must be able to comfortably dance in it. Also, take into consideration what sort of hairstyle you will be wearing with your headpiece. For example, decide if you will be wearing your hair down, or if you will be attaching your headpiece to a bun or other up-do.

1
Place a dab of glue on one end of the plastic headband and attach the end of the ribbon. Begin wrapping the ribbon around the headband, overlapping each wrap slightly. Continue wrapping until the entire headband is covered.

2
Cut any long stems off of your feathers. Use dabs of glue to attach the feathers to your headband. Attach the feathers so that they lie flat along the headband. Hide any quill bottoms underneath another overlapping feather.
