What is a summary of the poem buttoo?
The narrator of "Buttoo" by Rudyard Kipling, describes coming upon the abandoned palace of Buttoo. He tells that once, the emperor Akbar visited Buttoo for a week after a successful hunt while traveling south. However, Buttoo was cursed as the locals warned about a princess marrying a common man with disastrous consequences and was left desolate while all who lived had departed to the other side or had moved away. Only the parrot that was once owned by the Princess still remains, still living and calling out "Mittra! Mittra! (Friend or Master)."
