Write your name at the top of a piece of paper. This indicates to the reader both the title and subject of your poem.
Write your name vertically down the left side of the paper. Leave plenty of space between each letter. If you have lined paper, leave two or three lines between each letter. If you have plain paper, estimate the amount of room you need to write for each letter.
Think of funny, descriptive words that start with each of the letters of your name. You can also think of funny phrases where the first word starts with a letter of your name. Arrange these words and phrases according to the letters of your name. Use them to tell a story about yourself, the subject of the poem.
Write the words or phrases on the paper next to the letters of your name. Use the letter of your name as the first letter of these words and phrases.
Revise the poem to make it sound and look like a well-crafted piece. Copy the poem onto decorative paper or card stock.
