Do all poems have a theme?

Not all poems have a theme. Some poems are simply collections of words or images that are meant to be enjoyed for their own sake. However, many poems do have a theme, or a central idea or message that the poet is trying to convey. The theme of a poem can be obvious or hidden, and it can be interpreted differently by different readers.
