When did Rupert brooke write the poem soldier?

The poem "The Soldier" by Rupert Brooke was written in August 1914, shortly after the outbreak of World War I. Brooke composed the poem during his wartime service in the Royal Navy aboard the ship HMS Glasgow. It was included in his collection of war sonnets called "1914 & Other Poems," which was published posthumously in 1915 after Brooke's death in April 1915. "The Soldier" reflects Brooke's thoughts and emotions about the war and expresses his sense of duty and camaraderie as a soldier.
