What is the most difficult part of poetry analysis process you?

The most challenging aspect of the poetry analysis process for me is deciphering complex metaphors and symbolism. Metaphors and symbols are frequently employed by poets to express profound messages or emotions beyond literal interpretations. When the poet's intended significance and context for these metaphorical allusions may have been made centuries ago or within unique social or historical settings, this ambiguity poses difficulties for analysis. Understanding allusions in context necessitate comprehensive research , careful examination of the poem's structure and diction, and the ability to draw links between apparently disconnected components of the poetry, which takes mental exertion, intuition, and familiarity with different cultural or intellectual backgrounds. However, it is also one of the most satisfying components of poetry analysis when a metaphorical puzzle fits neatly and provides significant insights as it gives deeper comprehension that can open more layers of interpretations .
