Who was Shakespeares wife and what did she do?
Anne Hathaway (c. 1556 – 6 August 1623) was the wife of William Shakespeare, the English poet and playwright. Very little is known about her apart from a marriage bond dated 28 November 1582, issued by the Diocese of Worcester, for an imminent wedding between "William Shaxpere" and "Anne Hathwey", indicating that the marriage took place in haste. Shakespeare was 18 and Hathaway was 26 at the time. She and Shakespeare had three children: Susanna, Hamnet, and Judith.
