What descendant of the de Soto expedition became famous?

There is no known descendant of the de Soto expedition who became famous. The expedition itself was a disaster, with most of the men dying from disease or conflict, and the leader, Hernando de Soto, dying and being buried in the Mississippi River.

While it's possible that a descendant of a survivor could have risen to fame, no such person has been identified or documented in history.

It's important to note that there are many descendants of Spanish conquistadors, but linking them directly to a specific expedition like de Soto's is extremely difficult, if not impossible, given the lack of records and the large passage of time.
