What did Samwise Gamgee write in the red book?

Samwise Gamgee didn't actually write in the Red Book of Westmarch. That was the task of Frodo Baggins, who compiled the accounts of the War of the Ring from various sources, including his own experiences, Bilbo's journals, and information from Gandalf and others.

Samwise Gamgee, however, did write his own journal, a smaller book that became part of the larger narrative. This journal chronicled Sam's own experiences, thoughts, and observations during the journey. It included things like:

* His detailed account of Frodo's struggles with the Ring and how he helped him.

* His reflections on the beauty of nature and the importance of hope.

* His humorous and touching observations about his fellow hobbits and the other members of the Fellowship.

* His poignant account of Frodo's departure from Middle-earth.

While not part of the Red Book, Sam's journal was a crucial part of preserving the story of the War of the Ring, offering a unique and intimate perspective on the events. This journal is referenced in the book and the films, where Frodo reads from it.

It's worth noting that there are also accounts of Samwise Gamgee writing poems, especially after the War of the Ring, but these are not specifically mentioned as being in the Red Book.
