Why is Laius cursed in
In Greek mythology, Laius is cursed because of a prophecy that he would be killed by his own son. This prophecy is made by the oracle of Delphi, and Laius tries to avoid it by having his son Oedipus exposed to the elements as an infant. However, Oedipus is rescued and raised by another family, and he eventually returns to Thebes and unknowingly fulfills the prophecy by killing his father.
