Did iron man make his own heart at a cave in the first movie?

Iron Man did not make his own heart at a cave in the first movie. In the movie, Tony Stark had an arc reactor implanted in his chest to keep the shrapnel from his injury away from his heart. The scene where he built the arc reactor takes place in a workshop/lab.
