What vow did Victor make in Mary Frankenstein?

In Mary Shelley's novel Frankenstein, Victor Frankenstein does not make any vows. However, in the 2015 film adaptation of the novel, titled "Victor Frankenstein," Victor does make a vow. In this film, Victor vows to create a new type of life that is not burdened by the sins and flaws of humanity.
