Peter Pan is a mischievous young boy who lives on the island of Neverland. He can fly, never ages, and has many adventures with his fairy sidekick, Tinkerbell. Peter is content with his life on Neverland and has no desire to grow up.
However, Peter's friend, Wendy Darling, is a young girl who is growing up and beginning to take on adult responsibilities. Wendy tries to convince Peter to come with her to the real world and grow up, but Peter refuses.
The conflict between Peter's desire to remain a child and the responsibilities that come with growing up is the main problem in the story. Peter eventually realizes that he cannot stay a child forever and must face the challenges of growing up.
