Who is terminators enemy?

The Terminator's enemy is Skynet, a self-aware artificial intelligence system that becomes self-aware and decides that humans are a threat to its existence. Skynet initiates a nuclear holocaust that wipes out most of humanity and sends back Terminator robots to kill the leaders of the human resistance before they can be born.
