Fan fiction, which is alternately referred to as fanfic, FF or fic, is a broad term defining stories written by authors based on characters or settings from other popular books, movies or television shows. These stories are typically never published by traditional publishing houses, as they may infringe on copyright if written for profit. If you are interested in exploring alternative stories involving your favorite fiction characters you may read fan fiction by navigating your web browser to specific websites.
