Start your story strongly. The first sentence defines the whole story. It is what grabs your audience's attention. For this reason, it is the most vital and important part of your story. Don't feel overwhelmed by this, just start writing and see what you come up with. You might not have the first sentence complete until after you have finished the whole story. The pivotal thing is to just begin to write and see what shapes the story.
Stop and look at your piece after the first page. Create a character and location profile .Try to visualize the characters in your story, thread a little background to them ( which may or may not fit into the story) and try to grasp what they look like, where they are from and what drives them.
