What Erin Hunter did as a child?

As a child, Erin Hunter loved animals and spent much of her time reading and writing. She began making up stories at a young age. She worked as a teacher and editor before pursuing a career writing children's books. At first, Erin wrote and self-published a chapter book called Rise of the Warrior: Moon Flight but found little to no recognition.
