Look for the sales agreement in the mail. The agreement could look like junk mail, so it is important to open and read over all mail received.
Read over the cancellation terms within the agreement. Often to cancel, you must sign the cancellation notice within the sales agreement. If there is no cancellation notice included, write out your own cancellation notice.
Copy the signed cancellation notice for your own records. Send the original cancellation notice to the address listed on the agreement by certified mail.
Look for a subscription insert within the magazine. Call the phone number listed on the insert and request that the magazine stop the subscription if you don't receive a cancellation notice within the mail.
Contact your state's attorney general office to learn about your cancellation rights if the company refuses to allow you to cancel your subscription. Call the attorney general's office directly and speak with a representative about the fraudulent magazine subscription.
Request that your bank or credit card company stop any payments for the magazine subscription. You may also dispute any payments already issued to the company.
