Measure your cardboard to the size of your card stock. Your card stock should be 1/8-inch longer than the length of your paper at each end.
Outline the area to be cut on the cardboard. Make two lines showing where the top and bottom of the inner pages are centered, leaving 1/8-inch at both the top and bottom of the cardboard. Use a cutting tool to cut the cardboard to size, creating a template.
Mark four holes, to be used for the book screws, along the longer side the template. The book screws hold the book together. Make your marks 1/4-inch from the book's opening edge, spaced evenly within the page lines drawn on the template.
Lie the cardboard over the card stock and hole-punch the cardboard at the marks you made. Align your interior paper with the template. Mark several pages and punch them with the hole puncher. Punch as many pages as you want the book to contain.
Insert the book screws through the front side of the card stock. Slide the book screws through the holes in the interior pages.
Screw your nuts in place on the back of the book.
