Log on to your web hosting account and log into your WordPress installation as an administrator. Each web host has different steps to log onto your hosting account. You will receive login instructions from your hosting provider. To log in to WordPress, go to www.yourdomain.com/wordpress/admin. Replace yourdomain.com with your domain name and the WordPress subfolder with the name of the folder that holds your WordPress installation.
Install your magazine style theme by copying the theme to the Theme Folder. Set the theme as the default blog theme. To install your theme, upload the theme using your web host's file manager. Most themes come as a ZIP file. Unzip your theme using your web hosting file manager. Go to Settings in the WordPress Administration Panel and select Template. Click on your magazine theme and accept the theme as your default.
Replace the header file in your theme with your magazine logo. Your header logo will be in the Images folder. Look for a file that says header or logo. Open the file in an image editor and create a header that is the same size as the original template header. Save the new header using the same name as the original header and upload to the WordPress Images folder.
Create a page for each type of content. Go to the WordPress administration bar and click on create page. If you are doing an entertainment magazine, a page can be created for music, books, art, movies and TV. Remember to link to each page from the homepage.
Add content to each page. To add content, click Add Post. Wordpress makes it easy to add text and photos. The Rich Text Editor allows for full formating of your text. You can type a post in advance and set it to post later by changing the Time and Date stamp on the bottom right hand side of your create post page.
