Give your paperback a rating based on its condition. It must be excellent, good, fair or poor. Don't sell your book if it is in poor condition. Excellent condition indicates that your book is almost brand new. Good condition indicates that all of the pages are accounted for, but some may have writing. Fair indicates that some pages may be missing and there may be a lot of writing throughout the book.

    • 2

Take a picture of the paperback books you want to sell. Make sure you have a good picture of each one separately. A digital picture is necessary so that you can upload the picture to the computer.

    • 3

Determine your price. This can be done by checking out your competitors. Go to Amazon.com or eBay and type in the ISBN number of your book. See what each book is going for and set your price for a few cents to a dollar less than everyone else. This will help you sell your book faster.

    • 4

List your paperback on eBay. This will cost you a few cents, but is designed to sell your paperback within a week. You must register for an account if you don't have one. Make sure you include your picture in your listing and give a description that explains the condition of the book.

    • 5

List your paperback on Amazon. You can leave your listing there for a long time if you are willing to wait for your book to sell. You must have an account if you want to sell your book. You should include your picture. You are also asked to list the condition of the book and then you have a chance to add any comments about the condition.

    • 6

Hold a yard sale. Your books will have to be priced less than you would sell them online, but it gives you a chance to sell them quickly. You will also be able to sell a lot of them at once.

    • 7

Take your paperback books to a flea market. This option is a good one if you have a lot of books to sell. Your table is usually good for the weekend so you get a few days to sell as many books as you can. You can price your books slightly higher than a yard sale, but slightly less than an online auction.
