How to Write a Bibliography for Internet Resources

A bibliography is a lost of books or other sources used for gathering information in writing another book, essay or article. Writing a bibliography for Internet sources has some unique traits but is overall very similar to other bibliography entries.

Instructions

      Write the author's name. The last name should be written first, with the first and last name separated by a comma.

      Write the title of the article or Web page next, in parentheses.

      Write the title of the magazine, book or newspaper that this Internet citation comes from, making sure this title is underlined.

      Write the name of the editor of this particular citation, if there is one. Make sure the name is written in the standard way, meaning first then last name.

      Write the date of the Web source's creation, revision or posting.

      Write the name of the group who created the website or webpage.

    • 7

      Write the date that you viewed the Web source.

    • 8

      Write the full Web source address, all in angle brackets, or "<".
