List of Spiderman Villains

Spider-Man has been a heroic figure of the Marvel comic universe since his creation by Stan Lee in the 1960s. Throughout the course of his adventures, Spider-Man has faced many obstacles in his role of superhero and his alter ego Peter Parker. Spider-Man has also dealt with his share of villains, each being fascinating, bizarre and deadly.
  1. Venom

    • Venom is the combination of an alien parasite bonding with Eddie Brock and disgraced reporter from the Daily Globe who blamed his downfall on Spider-man. The parasite at one point was Spider-Man’s black costume who tried to make Spider-Man its host and failed. Once Eddie Brock became host to the alien parasite, the parasite was able to impart all of its knowledge of Spider-man to Brock, including Spider-Man's real identity as Peter Parker. Venom has agility and superhuman strength. He can also negate Spider-Man’s spidersense, shot spider webs, wall crawl and mimic anyone of similar size and appearance.

    Carnage

    • Carnage is the offspring of Venom. During Venom’s defeat at the hands of Spider-Man, Eddie Brock and the alien parasite that comprise Venom were separated. During Eddie Brock’s stay in prison he shared a cell with Cletus Kasady, who was serving 11 consecutive life sentences for murder. The alien parasite broke into prison, rejoining with Brock and escaped. During the escape they left behind a piece of the alien parasite. This piece took Kasady as a host. The result is a creature more dangerous then Venom fueled by the mind-set of a serial killer. Carnage has super-strength and the ability to negate Spider-Man’s spidersense. He can also generate snares and bladed weapons from his own body.

    Dr. Octopus

    • Dr. Octopus (Otto Octavius) was an atomic researcher who developed a steel, mechanical tentacle-armed chest harness to assist him in his work with radioactive components. The doctor was exposed to radiation during an accident in his laboratory. The result was the doctor was able to control the tentacle arms mentally but suffered brain damage resulting in him becoming a megalomaniac criminal. Outside of his ability to control his steel-tentacle arms, Dr. Octopus is a brilliant scientist and inventor with an extremely high level of concentration allowing him to perform multiple tasks telepathically at the same time.

    Kingpin

    • Kingpin, whose real name is Wilson Fisk, was a neighborhood thug who worked his way up in the underworld to being an major crime boss. He is involved in numerous illegal activities such as murder and drug smuggling. He has a long reach into the underworld of the city and contracted with other villains in the hopes of killing Spider-man. Despite his criminal activities Kingpin has no criminal record. Though he has no super powers, it is Kingpin’s intelligence and his physical prowess at 6-ft. 7-in. and 450 lbs. that make him a formidable opponent.

    The Green Goblin

    • The Green Goblin’s alter ego, Norman Osborn, is the father of Peter Parker’s best friend and college roommate, Harry Osborn. Norman Obsborn is an industrialist with a thirst for power. He framed his business partner, Mendel Stromm, and embezzled money from their chemical company. Osborn gained access to one of the company’s projects, an untested strength-enhancing serum. The result of his exposure to the serum was enhanced strength but also the loss of his sanity. The Green Goblin has enhanced strength, speed and accelerated healing. His weapons include the Goblin Glider, pumpkin bombs and an armored costume.
