Instructions

    • 1

Fold an 8-by-11-inch piece of paper in half from top to bottom. You can use any type of paper you like, from construction paper and notebook paper to card stock and printer paper.

    • 2

Fold the paper in half again in the same direction so you have a long rectangle. Once folded, fold it from side to side to create a smaller rectangle.

    • 3

Unfold the paper back to the original fold so there is a clear cross visibly creased into the paper. You want to have four rectangular boxes.

    • 4

Hold the paper so the folded end is toward you and use your scissors to cut halfway down the middle line. In order to make sure you did this right, unfold the paper all the way. You should have eight rectangles creased into the paper and a clean slit down the center.

    • 5

Fold the paper in half lengthwise, creating a long rectangle with the open slit at the top.

    • 6

Holding the two end rectangles, push the form together, creating an open diamond in the center before pushing the pages together to make an X.

    • 7

Fold the X in half and crease the spine firmly, creating a four leaf book with eight pages, front and back.

    • 8

Fill in the eight blank pages of your foldable book using markers, pens, crayons or colored pencils.
