How to Remove Newsprint From a Paper to Blank

People recycle newspapers on a consistent basis. Nearly 75 percent of newspapers that exist in America undergo the recycling process. Newspapers have come a long way, because you can now read them online as well as from a physical copy, but you can remove the newsprint will the right amount of effort and the correct ingredients, such as hydrogen peroxide and water.

  • Lukewarm Water
  • Hydrogen Peroxide
  • Sodium Hydroxide
  • Sodium Silicate
  • Bleach
  • De-inking Machine

      Mix a cup of lukewarm water, two caps of hydrogen peroxide, one spoon of sodium silicate and sodium hydroxide in a medium-sized drum. Put the newsprint in the concoction.

      Shake the mixture to get rid of all of the ink. If you need to make the mixture more powerful to get rid of the ink more easily, add about 10 chips of wood. Expose the mixture to the air, via the flotation cell part of your ink removal equipment, also known as the de-inking machine. This enables you to get rid of any excess ink that remains with your de-inking machine.

      Perform the second of your two washes and use bleach to finalize the process. Allow the mixture to air dry and press it to form sheets to use again.
